Position Description

As an Applebee's® Server, you will help create a welcoming environment that will leave a lasting impression for our guests. You will need to be friendly, make recommendations, and anticipate the needs of the guest. You will work hard, but have a great time doing it!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, answer questions, makes suggestions regarding food, drinks, and service.
  • Interacts verbally with all guests creating a welcoming, friendly, and upbeat atmosphere.
  • Relays orders to service bar and kitchen via POS System and support guests with Tabletop Devices.
  • Delivers food and drinks to guests using Applebee’s steps of service.
  • Observes guests and responds to any additional requests.
  • Presents guest check to each table and accepts a form of payment or assists with payment through Tabletop Devices.
  • Participates in the clearing and resetting of dining room tables.
  • All other job duties assigned by a manager to ensure the effective and orderly operations of the restaurant.

Education and Experience

  • Current High School student, or an individual with a High School Diploma or GED
  • Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required

Physical Standards:

  • Must have mobility for long periods of up to four (4) hours in length.
  • Must be able to safely reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Transports plates, glasses and baskets to and from dining room, service bar, and the kitchen about 30 times per shift.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to employees and dining room staff
