-Assist lead teachers in carrying out lesson plans on a daily basis

- Responsible in keeping classrooms neat and in good repair, general cleanliness and appearance of Center areas

- Responsible for the care of each child's physical, emotional, social, cognitive development and will enhance growth in these areas

- Respond appropriately to children exhibiting signs of stress, respond to the needs of the group as well as each individual within the group

-Consulting with co teachers, directors, and possible a consultant about a particularly distressed child or difficult situation, and to cooperate in recommendations for handling those situations.

-Be familiar with and adhere to licensing rules/regulations, health department guidelines, emergency procedures, NAEYC accreditation standards

- Attain minimum of 16 hours of training per year in early education and intergenerational development

-Attain a minimum of 24 hours of training per year in early education and intergenerational development

Degree or working on a degree in early childhood preferred

The Bethlehem Intergenerational Center is intentionally designed to encourage children and older adults to be together at various times during the day for activities and organic interactions.

Currently our older adult wing is closed due to COVID-19.

The Center is NAEYC accredited
